WITH THE TASTE OF SONG
ON YOUR LIPS

EDITOR’S NOTE

It is March. It is Winter, at least on the Eastern coast of Canada, but the kind of Winter that remains are the dregs that will soon give way to Spring. Spring, with its burgeoning hope, with a restoring blue sky, when things come back to life.

We hope you’ll come back to life, too, and that Issue 203.1–with its imitable, wondrous artists and writers–will in part help towards that goal.

With thanks to Stephanie Adams-Santos, Jordi Alonso, Matthew Baldwin, Charles Bane Jr., Katharine Diehl, Julie Feng, Jennifer Hanks, Kirsty Logan, Chrissy Montelli, Todd Osborne, D.J. Parris, Megan Stolz, Josie Turner, Jessica Van de Kemp, Patrick Williams, and Bill Wolak; your work transports us, transcends our day to day, asks us to think, to feel, to wonder.

Thanks also to Andrew Saavedra, Joseph Spece, Jennifer Lobaugh, Daniel Warner, John Boucher, Julia Dixon Evans, Andrea Hackbarth, Jenna Marie Hallock, Sara Iacovelli, Graham Oliver, without whom I would always be lost. And to Lindsay Branca and Will Kaufman–our intrepid staff at large–may you return to us one day.

This is always an honour, a delight.
