EDITOR’S NOTE

Hello again. It’s Spring! Spring is here. A wealth of possibility, and hope, and new life is in the air. And with it, comes a new issue.

This issue features moody, ethereal art by Kirsten Valentine, and our Objects of Derision feature with multi-talented writer, editor, and all around excellent human, Hannah Cohen. We follow work interweaving the natural world with our own, reflections on our physical earth, our mental selves, our relationships with our parents, adventures in finding ourselves in new spaces, and terror in finding ourselves trapped and imprisoned.

Thank you to Hannah Bishop, Chelsea Bunn, Hannah Cohen, Rico Craig, Lindsay D’Andrea, Aslan Demir, Maris Finn, Jennifer Fliss, Trivarna Hariharan, Erin Kirsh, Nate Maxson, Eric Morris-Pusey, Scherezade Siobhan, Millie Tullis, & Kirsten Valentine. Thank you for entrusting your work with us. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with each and every one of you.

Thank you also to Sara Iacovelli, Mehrnoosh Torbatnejad, Julia Dixon Evans, Graham Oliver, Olga Belykh, John Boucher, Diana Khong, Andrew Saavedra and Lindsay Branca, without whom I would always be lost.

And finally: thank you to all our readers, for always sharing in this with us.

Until next time,

– Emma Fissenden
